Today was the first day of the Roaming Rack of Rags and Riches initiative. As I stood outside Harrow-on-the-Hill station, I had dozens of people come up to me asking why I had an empty rack behind me, and what the sign I was holding with lots of R’s meant.
I explained to them that the main purpose of the rack, is to be a medium between the hands that give and the hands that take. The givers being London commuters, the takers being those who are in desperate need of clothing (hence the empty clothing rack).
I will be in Harrow-on-the-Hill station on the 23rd of February from 08.00 to 10.00 am and Wembley park station from 16.00 to 18.00 pm. Roaming will continue until March 28th – for more information about the racks location, and ways in which you can help this Sadaqa : Charity Day please visit:
