As we come to the 20th year since 9/11, we were having conversations in the TMV office about how this event changed our lives, and decided to turn on the cameras and hit record.
Something a little bit different from our usual content, but we think it’s important that we discussed and looked into the impact 9/11 had on Muslims – both those who lived through it and born after, and both those who live in the West and lived in the countries that were later invaded in the subsequent “War on Terror”.
We hope this short conversation can help us all be more open to discussing larger issues such as Islamophobia, Western imperialism, human rights, and our role as Muslims in the aftermath of such a tragedy.
