DIY Coffee and Cardamon body scrub

So here’s why I love this delicious body scrub.

1. It’s easy to make

2. It smells divineeee

3. It’s fabulous for your body and spirit

I’ve wanted to make one of these for ages and thought about how to use up the brown sugar in my cupboard. I blitzed up some whole coffee beans and added what I thought would make a moisturising scented body scrub. It would make a lovely gift for someone – something homemade is always more appreciated with time being such a commodity these days!

Coffee is a natural stimulant and some studies have shown that it helps even out skin texture and tone, improving circulation and giving you that glow. The ground coffee also doubles up as an exfoliant – getting rid of those unwanted dead skin cells and a smoother touch!

If you struggle to wake up in the morning, use this to feel instantly revived.

If you don’t have a spice grinder or something similar, don’t stress! Put the beans in a bag and bash them with a rolling pin, failing that you could crush them in a pestle & mortar.

I added some cardamon pods, bashed them up and took out the warm spicy insides.

Add some olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, almond oil (whatever you have kind of oil).

Mix in some brown sugar, the caramel smell does add a wow factor.

I also added sea salt flakes for that scrubby feel & cinnamon as it brings blood to the surface of the skin, causing plumping.

If you’ve always wanted fuller looking lips you can scrub some cinnamon with an old toothbrush onto your lips and it will temporarily make them a bit Jolie!

Voila!

Add to a jar and store in your bathroom so you always have that wake up helper on hand.
