Here at Disabled Muslim Matrimony, we wish to help as many single disabled Muslims as possible insha’Allah, and are extremely humbled for being recognised by the community.
Some of the top professionals and businesses from the British Muslim community were awarded for their ingenuity and achievements. The event took place at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester on the 31st January 2020, where hundreds of the most remarkable British Muslims were gathered as finalists.
The award ceremony was held to recognise a wide range of achievements from Muslim individuals across the UK who positively impact business, charity, sport, arts, culture, religious advocacy, education, and medicine.
The awards showcased the strength of the British Muslim community, and the impact they have on culture and their achievements over the last year. Categories ranged from Muslim in the Community, Young Achiever of the Year, to Spirit of Britain.
Tasneem, the Founder of Disabled Muslim Matrimony and her husband Gareth, the Creative Director, were in attendance at the award ceremony where it was announced to their delight they were winners in the category of Community Initiative of the Year 2020.
Disabled Muslim Matrimony aims to help single disabled Muslims find their marriage partners, via two channels, firstly their website, where the members can connect with single Muslims around the world for the purpose of marriage, and secondly through the Disabled Muslim Matrimony event service, which allows singles to meet in a calm and comfortable environment at events across the UK, for the purpose of finding their life partners.
Tasneem, the Founder of Disabled Muslim Matrimony, said:
