As the cost of living soars across the UK, homelessness has become a grave issue, affecting even more people.
To help tackle this problem, charities Stanmore Jafferys (SJ) and Hand on Heart (HoH) have joined forces during The Big Help Out to assist hundreds of homeless individuals and rough sleepers across the country at the “Stanmore Jafferys Racquet Sports Festival.”Â
The festival, set to take place on Monday 8th May at the Royal Masonic School in Rickmansworth, is expected to draw 1,000 people. At the event, HoH charitable trust, with the help of volunteers, will assemble hygiene packs filled with new clothes and toiletries. The packs will be handed out to people who are homeless in Slough later that day.Â

Tragically, just last week, experts warned of an 85% rise in deaths among the homeless since three years ago. We must do all we can for those forced onto the streets or living rough, and HoH is thrilled to collaborate with SJ to have festival attendees pack essential kits for the homeless.Â
“The Big Help Out coincides with the King’s Coronation weekend, where thousands of organizations across the country will mark Monday the 8th of May as an opportunity for volunteers to come together and help out in their own local communities. This task is an excellent opportunity for charities to collaborate together to make a difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping in the UK. It will go some way to help provide basic essentials and support to those in need.”Â
