On the Level: Muslims Committing Suicide (full documentary)

/

In this episode of On the Level, Inayat investigates the dark subject of suicide in the Muslim community. To find out what causes people to attempt suicide, Inayat speaks with two young Muslim who have either had suicidal thoughts or attempted to take their own lives. In this episode, Inayat also asks the important question of whether or not the Muslim community is doing enough to support the people who are suffering, and how we as individuals can help those burdened with suicidal feelings.

For the purpose of anonymity, we have distorted the voice and hidden the faces of the interviewees at their request. We would like to thank them for sharing their stories. We would also like to thank Sheikh Misbah Yazdi, London Fatwa Council, and Dr Hasanen Al-Taiar.
