Psychologically, certain settings and situations “trigger” chemicals in your brain that make you want to do certain things. Therefore we first need to identify when/where the sin happens; so that these can be changed.
Spiritually, we repeat the same mistakes over and over again, hence why our sins are repeating over and over. Unless there is a clear intention never do repeat the sin again when repenting, we may find ourselves back in the same trap.
