11 verses to help tackle the different emotions we go through in life

We all go through different types of emotional phases in our day to day lives. Sometimes we feel enthusiastic and sometimes exactly the opposite. Sometimes we indulge in a haraam act and lose hope. Sometimes we feel in need of something to motivate us. Here is a collection of verses to tackle different kind of emotional phases we go through.

1. When you are sad

“And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, ‘This is what we were provided with before.’ And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally.” – (Quran 2:25)

2. When you have sinned

Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” – (Quran 39:53)

3. When you feel lonely

“Allah is the ally of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light. And those who disbelieve – their allies are Taghut. They take them out of the light into darknesses. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.” – (Quran 2:257)

4. When you’re struggling to remain steadfast

“Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.” – (Quran 33:35)

5. When you are discriminated against

“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.” – (Quran 49:13)

6. When you are yearning for a friend

“And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein” – (Quran 50:16)

7. When you feel you are not appreciated

[And it will be said], “Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated.” – (Quran 76:22)

8. When you are tired of hardships

“For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.” – (Quran 94:5)

9. When people treat you harshly

“And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace” – (Quran 25:63)

10. For assurance of forgiveness

“And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins – and who can forgive sins except Allah? – and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know.” – (Quran 3:135)

Lastly here is another verse for double assurance of forgiveness “[O Muhammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful.” – (Quran 15:49). Let us keep reminding ourselves, verses of The Holy Quran and ask for the forgiveness for all those sin which we have committed in the past as Allah is all Forgiving and Merciful & let us practice to tackle emotional issues we face in the future with the help of these verses.
