The summer isn’t over yet, and there’s still time to get out and enjoy the sun! One memorable way to enjoy the thrill of summer traveling is of course, by getting the perfect Instagram picture. Rihaala, the number one Muslim-friendly travel website, now has an online travel magazine out for those of us who have a travel bug, with their Summer Edition now out as well!
Filled with tips on how to travel lightly, stories on experiencing the travel of Hajj, and where to go for an exotic summer getaway, Rihaala also shares some tips on how to take the best Instagram-able photos for summer travels:
1. Location, Location, Location
Location is critical when taking the ideal shots for your Instagram page; find shots that show the beauty and uniqueness of wherever you are travelling to. To get ideas and brainstorm and even help choose a location, search for Instagram-able places online, but consider that many people may do the same so be prepared for the business of many others trying to achieve the perfect shot! Plan and organise to visit your location in the quietest time possible to avoid rushing taking the shot and genuinely enjoying the area at the same time.
2. Respect
Many destinations across the globe welcome those who come to some of their most picturesque aesthetic spots with open arms. But consider the poignancy of its religiously or historically respected areas, and respect the sight. Most importantly, try to remember that you are a visitor of the destination and you should respect it as you would if it was one of your treasured hotspots. By showing respect and listening to instructions of security, you may find they will allow you to enjoy the experience for longer. If all visitors are to barge in and act disrespectfully, this could result in being turned away from the location and others being restricted further.
3. People and Places
Naturally, with travel photography, we want to see people and places! They key focus is the location you are exploring, of course, but not only this; your followers will relate more to faces! Not all your images have to include a beautiful backdrop. Why not use yourself or your travel partner trying local cuisine or trying an exciting activity? Alternatively, attempt to capture unusual scenery that will draw your followers to be intrigued into your travels. We’ve all seen a beach picture a couple of hundred times, so keep your Instagram posts original!
