As we watch this historic proceeding at the International Court of Justice, led by South Africa, accusing Israel of genocide against Palestine, the people of the world have expressed their opinions.
As the proceedings continue into its second day, with now Israel presenting its case against South Africa’s claim, we can only hope that this historic moment in history will not be forgotten easily – and will continue to inspire us to fight for Palestine’s freedom, dignity, and justice.
“We are living history!”
I donโt think Yโll grasp whatโs happening in South Africa๐ฟ๐ฆ. Black people that survived #Apartheid went to become judges and lawyers.
And now defending Palestinians๐ต๐ธ against the country that sent South Africa๐ฟ๐ฆ weapons during Apartheid!

“Holding back tears…”
I was holding back tears today in the robing room. South Africaโs legal team was phenomenal. https://t.co/BqPxISDzwo

“International solidarity is power.”
International bodies rarely act against international colonial power.
But international solidarity is power. Palestinians will never forget the noble defense by our brothers and sisters of South Africa against apartheid and genocide. From Mandela and Tutu until freedom.

“It was an act of love and solidarity…”
I just want to say how moving and powerful South Africaโs case was. You could see how much work this team put in. It was an act of love and solidarity and no matter what happens it was a historic day that lifted our spirits. ๐ต๐ธโค๏ธ ๐ฟ๐ฆ https://t.co/FsPZU7Qbjy

“A major victory for the Palestinians and humanity.”
Whatever the outcome, #SouthAfrica๐ฟ๐ฆ has already scored a major victory for the #Palestinians & humanity. We've given them a voice before the highest court in the world. The evidence being presented to the #ICJ judges & to a global audience can't be ignored. #CEASEFIRE_NOW pic.twitter.com/TOnxPDQKAh
