Mustafa Jameel from North Kashmir has incredibly managed to calligraphy the entire Qur’an in seven months! The scroll stretches 500 meters.
The achievement has been submitted to the Lincoln Book of Records which recognise individuals who have achieved something extraordinary. You can view the official certification on their website.
27-year-old Mustafa initially wanted to pursue higher education but was unable to pass his matriculation. Unfortunately, Mustafa was ridiculed by his family and community. This, however, made him determined to set out and do something great.
Mustafa developed an interest in calligraphy and started off with a single chapter of the Qur’an. As he found himself enjoying this, he decided to calligraphy the entire Book.

Speaking to a local paper, Rising Kashmir, Mustafa said:
“My message to all those struggling and especially to the youth is, in life, you will go through many ups and downs and to improve your chances on the path of success, first and foremost you have to work hard, possess the drive, hunger and determination to succeed, along with keeping faith in your abilities, which would enable you to overcome and clear any obstacle life throws at you.”
