A powerful new video has emerged of Muslim women responding to Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is an ex-Muslim and a vocal anti-Islam TV personality. She often criticises Muslims and Islam in general for its treatment of women, but here, a group of Australian women have come together to call out her hypocrisy in ignoring history, her stereotyping of Muslim women, and her use of her radical ideas to make money and gain influence. The message from these women to Hirsi is clear: “you don’t speak for us.”

Now more than ever, we need your support…

  • just an addition to my earlier comment: the other video on the same page, with the four young people discussing sectarian hate messages on social media, is the kind of thing that will lead to understanding and tolerance. i like their approach and i hope they will spread their influence in this way. they will earn respect for their faith, even among those who don’t follow their beliefs.

  • if i didn’t know anything about ayaan hirsi ali or the women in this video but only read hirsi ali’s books and watched the video i would not hesitate to pick this video as propaganda and hirsi ali’s books as reasoned arguments.
propaganda is personal and harsh; reason is calm and persuasive.
i think it is necessary for muslims to be less outraged in defending their faith.
thinking and explaining has better results than passion.
