8 Most Important Quran Surahs to Memorise

Each and every ayah of the 144 surahs of the Qu’ran is loaded with divine orders and blessings and play a significant role in our lives.

Nonetheless, there are certain surahs that are exceptionally important and should be memorised. The following surahs are the most important surahs to memorise.

1. Surah Al Fatiha

2. Surah Yaseen

4. Surah Rahman

It is the 55th chapter of the Quran and has 78 verses. It is one of the most important when it comes to reading, reciting, and memorising. We very well know the miracles of Surah Rahman. It provides internal peace to the mind, soul and heart. It is a madani surah. It has many facts which are also proved by scientists.

The surah can cure people. Recently a study showed playing Surah Rahman in a hospital for heart patients was very beneficial for their treatment. It is also beneficial for many other diseases like cancer, diabetes, kidney problems, and hepatitis C.

5. Surah Al Kafirun

Surah Al Kafirun is easy to memorise, It is in the 109th surah and has 6 verses. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) recited this surah daily.

Reciting this Surah conveys a lot of favours and rewards. It is equivalent to reciting a quarter of the Holy Quran. The recitation of this surah gets the reciter far from the shirk and furthermore drives away the evil from you.

The surah title translated to “The Disbelievers” in English. The surah addresses the non-believers and disassociating from them in terms of their religious beliefs.

6. Surah Al Baqarah

Surah Al Baqarah is the longest surahs in the Quran and the most important surah to memorise. It is the second chapter of the Quran containing 286 verses. A chapter with 286 verses may look too difficult to memorise but you can Hifz it easily by memorising 4 to 5 verses daily.

In Surah Baqarah, Allah Almighty introduce us to the Quran and educates us concerning three unique types of peoples, the people who will take benefit from the guidance of the Quran, the people who will not, and the people who are just pretending to be individuals of the Quran.

7. Surah Waqiah

Surah Waqiah is said to be a blessing for all Muslims because it has vast benefits for your financial life. With 96 verses, it is the 56th chapter of the Quran. “Waqiah” itself implies judgement day or the day of judgment.

8. Three Qul’s

The three Qul’s are chapters Iklhas, Falaq and Nas and are the last three chapters of the Quran. Thus, he would be protected throughout the night.
