On the day of judgement, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will have a complaint about a particular group of the ummah, which is documented in the Holy Qur’an:
O my nurturing Lord! Verily my people took this Qur’an as a forsaken thing.”
(25:30)
We have to ask ourselves: is the Messenger referring to me? Am I one of those who have forsaken the Qur’an? Many of us have a Qur’an at home sitting at the top of the bookshelf, above every other book, because of the respect we have for it – yet it gathers dust.
