La ilaha illa Allah! Truly, to Him we belong and to Him we will return. Shaykh Nurayn is one of my all-time favourite reciters.
May Allah grant him and his students the highest of stations in Paradise and their families patience in this trying time they’re passing through. https://t.co/VidXrCAQ2O

Sheikh Nurayn, who was 38, was born in the Umm Dam locality in North Kordofan State in Sudan in 1982, and began memorizing the Quran with Khalawi sheikhs in the Bara district of North Kordofan – finally memorizing the Quran at the age of 17. He also joined the Islamic Holy Quran University, where he graduated.
After receiving the authorization of reading from Al-Azhar in 2008, Sheikh Nurayn also became involved in advocacy work and worked as the imam at the Khartoum Grand Mosque, the Al-Nour Mosque, and a number of other prominent mosques across the capital of Khartoum.
