As we watch this historic proceeding at the International Court of Justice, led by South Africa, accusing Israel of genocide against Palestine, the people of the world have expressed their opinions.
As the proceedings continue into its second day, with now Israel presenting its case against South Africa’s claim, we can only hope that this historic moment in history will not be forgotten easily – and will continue to inspire us to fight for Palestine’s freedom, dignity, and justice.
“We are living history!”
I donβt think Yβll grasp whatβs happening in South AfricaπΏπ¦. Black people that survived #Apartheid went to become judges and lawyers.
And now defending Palestiniansπ΅πΈ against the country that sent South AfricaπΏπ¦ weapons during Apartheid!

“Holding back tears…”
I was holding back tears today in the robing room. South Africaβs legal team was phenomenal. https://t.co/BqPxISDzwo

“International solidarity is power.”
International bodies rarely act against international colonial power.
But international solidarity is power. Palestinians will never forget the noble defense by our brothers and sisters of South Africa against apartheid and genocide. From Mandela and Tutu until freedom.

“A major victory for the Palestinians and humanity.”
Whatever the outcome, #SouthAfricaπΏπ¦ has already scored a major victory for the #Palestinians & humanity. We've given them a voice before the highest court in the world. The evidence being presented to the #ICJ judges & to a global audience can't be ignored. #CEASEFIRE_NOW pic.twitter.com/TOnxPDQKAh
