Saudi Arabia’s Hebrew translation of the Quran accused of making shocking changes to appease Israel

Many Muslims and anti-Zionist activists have accused this translation of supporting a “Judaised” version of the Quran – by erasing the Prophet Mohammed’s name and renaming Al-Aqsa Mosque, many see this as a move to support a fundamentalist Jewish version of history as well as supporting Israel’s claims over the contested holy site.

It has been revealed that a Hebrew translation of the Holy Quran, approved and supported by Saudi authorities, contains more than 300 errors – many of which have a dangerous apperance of supporting Zionism and Israel’s claims over Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Discovered by the Palestinian news agency Shehab, this Hebrew translation is found to have completely omitted the name of the Prophet Mohammed, who is mentioned at least four times in the Holy Quran. Shockingly, there is no explanation as to why the name of the holy Prophet Mohammed was omitted from the very Quran that he helped reveal to humankind.

Additionally, the Saudi-sponsored Hebrew translation was also found to have translated the name of Al-Aqsa Mosque to “the Temple”, which is the Jewish name for the Muslim holy site. The Hebrew translation also contains a parenthesis alongside the translation of “the Temple”, in which is states the location as the same place the temple of Prophet Suleiman is located.

The King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran, which published the Hebrew translation, has issued a simple statement in response to the shock of the more than 300 errors: “[We] are awaiting the appropriate procedure by the complex management after verification and study.”

Saudi Arabia and other Arab Gulf States to help fund Trump’s Middle East Peace Plan

Saudi Arabia’s closer ties with Israel, led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, has only fuelled much of the anger around this shocking translation. Since Trump revealed his new Middle East Peace Plan, which offers massive support towards Israeli claims over land and people without taking into serious account the plight of the Palestinians, Saudi Arabia has endorsed and reportedly offered to help cover financial costs of this new peace plan.

It remains to be seen how Saudi Arabia will further its growing relationship with Israel, as the self-called “custodian of the two Holy Mosques” continues to ignore the suffering and plight of millions of Muslims around the world.
