The significance of Al Quds (Holy City of Jerusalem) is more than just the issue of Zionist occupation of Palestinian land – it is what that occupation symbolises. The Zionist occupation of Palestinian lands, directly in the middle of the Muslim world reflects the arrogance of imperialist powers, as well as a ruthless ambition to destroy Islam by making them fight one another.
It is therefore imperative, that as Muslims – of all sects and creeds – stand united in their condemnation of the Zionist occupation, and we should strive to work towards freeing Palestine.
