Snapchat featured The Holy City of Mecca live… and the response was simply brilliant!

Last week the hashtag #mecca_live went viral, and thousands of Muslims around the world tweeted Snapchat to feature the Holy City on the 27th night of Ramadan, widely regarded as Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Destiny) by many Muslims. And Snapchat did exactly that!

Snapchat is a social media platform which allows users to share pictures and videos for 10 seconds. In 2015 Snapchat introduced ‘Snapchat Stories’ from different cities around the world, generated by users on the social media platform.
