TMV has had an exclusive first look at the cover of the soon to be published book “Amazing Muslims Who Changed the World”, by author Burhana Islam. A richly illustrated and stunning collection of the true stories behind both modern and historical Muslim heroes, this book is one of the first of its kind in celebrating the achievements of Muslims around the world.

While the book is aimed for children aged 9 to 12, this book can be enjoyed by all – with a collection of 30 stories around the lives of famous and little-known Muslims who changed the world, this book is an absolute must-read.

Some of the figures are well-known in this collection, such as Malala Yousafzai, Sir Mo Farah, and Muhammad Ali, however there are also lesser-known figures who are equally important, such as Sultan Razia, an extraordinary female ruler, and Noor Inayat Khan, an Indian princess who became a British spy during World War Two. From female pirates to incredible scientists to brilliant mathematicians, “Amazing Muslims Who Changed the World” is nothing short of remarkable.

The author, Burhana Islam, was born in Bangladesh but raised in Newcastle, now living near Manchester. A storyteller who is passionate about sharing stories around heritage, identity, and faith, Burhana told TMV:

It’s an honour to be a part of a movement that aims to rediscover the gems of Muslim history and shed light once again on our influence on the world. Muslim history is undeniably rich and I’m thrilled that the team at Puffin and our wonderful illustrators across the globe have brought these stories back to life so beautifully.”
